Gatherings are the Society’s organised occasions, online and in person, where a conversation becomes a shared experience and students have a chance to contribute to the evening themselves.

A closer introduction
Good company deserves a proper invitation.
A guided discussion, a student-hosted digital evening, or a local outing each asks something different of a family. Every published invitation brings the practical details together, so deciding whether to come does not require a second round of detective work.
Make the family arrangements.
A guardian reviews eligibility, permissions, and any required forms. Registration confirms a place only when all required steps are complete; a saved plan or a waitlist request is not a ticket.
Have a hand in the occasion.
Students can propose a Circle activity or a guided Gathering. Adults review the plan before it is offered to members, and hosting support helps students learn to welcome people as well as entertain them.
A word for the family
The adults have their own preparations.
Approved Gatherings have named responsibilities for supervision, registration, and responding to concerns. Attendance and departure arrangements follow the event’s format. Families receive the relevant expectations in advance, including any explicit faith content and the process for requesting accommodations.

Is every Gathering included in membership?
Each invitation states its price and whether membership includes, discounts, or is required for attendance. Public events, including the Winter Formal, publish their own eligibility.
Can my student suggest an activity?
Yes, when member participation is open. A student can prepare a proposal in their account; staff review the plan, supervision, and practical arrangements before publication.
What happens if an event is full?
The invitation will state whether a waitlist is available. Joining it expresses interest and does not promise a place; any offer and the remaining registration steps are communicated separately.
