An interest Circle brings together students who enjoy similar things. It is a place to ask the detailed question, share the discovery, and meet someone who understands why you spent an afternoon on it.

Circles are small groups within the Society where students meet around something they enjoy, then practise the art of knowing people whose tastes and experiences differ from their own.

A closer introduction
Friendship needs a beginning.
A favourite book, a game worth explaining, or an interest nobody at home quite shares can be a very good place to start. A Circle gives that conversation somewhere to return to, with other students in the right age group and adults responsible for the room.
Make room for difference.
A perspective Circle introduces students who approach things differently. We call these polarity circles inside the Society; the purpose is to practise curiosity and respectful disagreement, with guidance when a conversation needs it.
Become a familiar face.
Joining a group is the beginning. Returning, listening, and contributing gives a friendship time to become something more substantial than a name you recognise on a screen.
A word for the family
The welcome has a structure.
Circles belong to the private youth Society. Membership, age eligibility, family permissions, and adult supervision determine which groups a student can enter. A request to join is reviewed where approval is required, and it does not automatically reserve a place at an event.

Are Circles online or in person?
Circle conversations take place within THS. A Circle may also inspire a separately approved Gathering; its invitation explains the format, supervision, eligibility, and registration.
Does my student have to host?
The Society’s participation plan includes hosting one guided digital Gathering each semester and attending activities within both interest and perspective circles. Students receive guidance, and the plan remains visible in their private account.
