A closer introduction
A new place is easier with a little direction.
Even a welcoming community can feel large on the first evening. The Compass gives students a considered beginning: a chance to describe their interests, choose a direction, and find a manageable way to take part.
Plan a first evening.
The first-night guide helps students consider suitable Circles and upcoming opportunities. Saving something they would like to attend is a personal plan; a guardian completes any required approval and registration separately.
Find a rhythm that fits.
A weekly view gathers the student’s selected activities and participation commitments. Preferences can change as confidence grows, because a first impression of yourself need not become a lifelong instruction.
A word for the family
Students have a voice; parents have a place.
Your student’s choices belong within their private Society account. Parents can review the family information and permissions available to them, while age rules, event eligibility, and supervision continue to apply to every activity the student considers.
Before you decide
A few things
you may be wondering.
Does the Compass choose friends for my student?
No. It helps students express interests and consider places to participate. Students still decide whom to get to know, and group access follows the Society’s approval rules.
Does adding an event to a plan book it?
No. Planning and registration are separate. The invitation and family account explain whether a guardian’s approval, a ticket, or another step is required.
Can interests change?
Yes. Students can revisit their choices as they discover new interests, rather than being confined to the answers they gave on their first day.
