THS Membership Terms

1. Draft status and parties

This is an operational draft and is not yet effective. THS means the service branded The Homeschool Social. The legal operator, notice address, and contact details must be inserted before activation.

The household guardian is the commercial account holder. A student receives a separate, guardian-linked youth seat and does not become the billing account holder merely by using THS.

2. Eligibility and truthful registration

The private youth community is designed for verified current homeschool students who are at least 13 and under 18. Event eligibility may use a narrower age or grade range and will be stated on the event listing.

A guardian must provide accurate household, authority, age, homeschool, and contact information and keep it current. Unknown, disputed, expired, or inconsistent eligibility information receives the more restrictive result while it is reviewed.

• A person under 13 may not use a THS youth social seat in this release.
• A student who turns 18 does not keep youth-space access automatically. Any adult or alumni service requires a separate agreement and eligibility review.
• Sharing accounts, impersonating another person, or bypassing age, guardian, payment, restriction, or verification controls is prohibited.

3. Membership and separate event purchases

A Society membership and an event ticket are different products. Membership does not guarantee admission, availability, a particular Circle, an event, a local Chapter, or a specific number of introductions.

The checkout shown before purchase must state the current price, billing interval, renewal terms, included benefits, taxes, cancellation method, refund terms, and any trial. Those offer-specific terms control if they conflict with promotional copy. No recurring charge may begin from accepting this policy alone.

4. The service

THS is intended to provide age-aware social rooms, supervised gatherings, interest-based discovery, student contributions, family controls, and related programs as they become available. Features may be staged, changed, paused, or retired for safety, legal, technical, or operating reasons.

THS is not a school, emergency service, childcare provider, medical provider, or replacement for guardian supervision. It does not promise admission to a college, job, business opportunity, friendship, or social outcome.

5. Safety and account controls

Safety rules, age boundaries, guardian controls, moderation, and event supervision are part of the service, not optional extras. THS may limit visibility, preserve evidence, cancel an activity, restrict a seat, or suspend a household when reasonably needed to protect a person, investigate a report, comply with law, or secure the service.

No safety system eliminates all risk. Guardians and students must use the reporting tools, follow event instructions, protect credentials, and contact emergency services when someone faces immediate danger.

6. Member content and intellectual property

Members keep ownership of original content they create. By submitting content to a THS room or program, the member and guardian give THS a limited, nonexclusive permission to host, copy, display, moderate, and distribute that content only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and improve the selected THS service.

Members may not post content they do not have permission to use. THS branding, software, event materials, and staff-created content remain the property of their respective owners. Any public showcase, advertising use, or materially different use of a student's identifiable content requires a separate, clearly described permission.

7. Acceptable use

Every member must follow the current THS Conduct Covenant and event-specific rules. Prohibited conduct includes bullying, harassment, threats, grooming, sexual exploitation, hate-based abuse, doxxing, fraud, unsafe meetup activity, weapons, illegal substances, malicious code, and attempts to defeat access or moderation controls.

Faith-centered activities and expectations must be labeled. Discussion of faith, belief, and disagreement must remain respectful and may never be used to coerce, shame, isolate, or target another member.

8. Restrictions, review, and appeals

THS may apply proportionate restrictions, including content removal, room limits, event removal, temporary suspension, or termination. Urgent protective action may occur before a full review. When safety and law allow, the affected guardian receives a reason category and a way to request review.

A membership payment does not override a safety hold, revoked guardian relationship, expired consent, age transition, or failed eligibility check. Offer-specific refund terms and applicable law determine any financial result.

9. Privacy and communications

The THS Privacy Notice explains data handling. Marketing email and local event email are separate guardian choices. Necessary account, security, billing, safety, policy, and registered-event communications are governed by the Transactional Communications Notice.

The mystery and ceremony of the THS brand never hide student activity, material terms, safety rules, charges, or data practices from guardians or authorized safety staff.

10. Disclaimers, liability, disputes, and changes

Legally required warranty language, limits of liability, indemnity, governing law, dispute process, venue, class-action treatment, severability, and legal notice mechanics are intentionally unresolved in this draft. They require counsel approval and conspicuous presentation before these terms can become effective.

Material changes will use a new policy version. THS will present the new text and request a fresh decision when law or the nature of the change requires it. Continued use will not be treated as consent where affirmative consent is required.
