Guardian Authority Agreement

1. Draft status and exact relationship

This is an operational draft and is not yet effective. It applies only to the guardian and student named in the consent record. A shared surname, address, household, payment method, invitation, or family relationship does not by itself establish authority.

The adult confirms that they are at least 18 and are the student's parent, legal guardian, foster guardian acting within documented authority, or another adult who is legally authorized to make the stated decisions.

2. Guardian attestations

• The identity, relationship, student date of birth, homeschool status, and contact information submitted are complete and accurate to the guardian's knowledge.
• The guardian has authority to approve the student's account and participation and is not restricted by a court order, custody order, placement rule, or other legal limitation that would conflict with that approval.
• The guardian will promptly report a loss, dispute, or change of authority, contact access, custody restriction, or safety concern.
• The guardian will not impersonate another guardian, conceal a material restriction, or use a student account as their own.

3. Capabilities are separate

THS may assign separate capabilities to view private identity information, manage identity, record consent, purchase, or manage event participation. Approval for one capability does not automatically grant every capability.

A guardian may see only the students and information covered by an active exact relationship and current capability. THS may require renewed evidence or a second review before a sensitive action.

4. Other guardians and disagreements

The guardian will identify another person with relevant legal authority when the onboarding process asks for that information and will not knowingly submit a decision that violates another person's enforceable rights.

THS does not decide custody or family-law disputes. If authority is disputed or evidence conflicts, THS may pause affected actions, preserve relevant records, request documentation, and require the parties to resolve the issue through an appropriate legal process. Immediate safety restrictions may remain in place during review.

5. Participation and supervision responsibilities

• Review the Membership Terms, Privacy Notice, Student Participation Agreement, Conduct Covenant, and each event's specific terms with the student.
• Keep emergency contacts, accessibility information, pickup permissions, and other event-critical information current when an event requires them.
• Help the student protect credentials and use report, block, and emergency channels appropriately.
• Do not arrange an unsupervised THS meetup, bypass an approved host, or disclose another family's private contact or venue information.

6. Verification, audit, and revocation

THS may verify identity and authority using proportionate methods approved for the launch region. Sensitive evidence must be restricted to trained personnel and retained only under the approved schedule.

THS may suspend or revoke authority when it expires, is withdrawn, cannot be verified, conflicts with a safety restriction, or is reasonably suspected to be false or compromised. Changes are logged. Revocation does not erase earlier valid consent records or safety evidence that must be retained.

7. No transfer of legal authority

This agreement records authority asserted and verified for THS. It does not appoint THS as a guardian, transfer custody, create a power of attorney, or let THS make medical, educational, or other legal decisions for the student beyond the specific service and event permissions presented.

Event-specific medical authorization, waiver, transportation, pickup, media, travel, and emergency terms require separate approved language when applicable.
